São Paulo FC is working to return to the Brazilian Championship with as few injuries as possible. In the last match before the calendar break, against Remo, the Tricolor had four injuries: Luciano, Cauly, Sabino, and Lucas Moura.

What happened?

Luciano and Cauly have already recovered and are training normally since the team's return. The striker overcame an injury to his right calf, while the midfielder recovered from a muscle discomfort in his right adductor.

Injuries being monitored

The medical department is now focusing on Sabino and Lucas Moura. Sabino is treating an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh and has already returned to running on the grass at the Barra Funda training center. Internally, there is optimism that the defender will be reintegrated before the return of the Brazilian Championship.

Next steps

Lucas, on the other hand, is still recovering after surgery to correct a complete rupture of the Achilles tendon in his right leg. The striker has shown progress, removed the orthopedic boot ahead of schedule, but the club is cautious and avoids setting a return date.
